HOPE FOUNDATION FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN OF BANGLADESH - RURAL MEDICAL CENTERS
The mission of HOPE Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh is to provide healthcare to the underserved women and children living in rural areas. HOPE’s main work is in maternal health and strives to ensure every woman in our catchment area has access to a safe pregnancy and birth. HOPE has been working in Cox’s Bazar since 1999.
HOPE runs a charitable hospital that provides comprehensive primary care, emergency care, hospitalization, emergency obstetric care, specialized care, immunizations and maternal and child health.
HOPE will set up a total of 6 camps (1 per month) with the support of local leaders and provide care to women, children and men. The patients will be seen and treated for any concern they bring to the doctor’s attention, and receive free medicine. Patients will be screened for the following conditions: obstetric fistula, uterine prolapse, cleft, burn, blindness, visual problems and other health conditions that are prevalent in the region.
