2015 Ambassador Members

This year, as part of their mission to help the underprivileged of Bangladesh, the Ambassadors set a goal of raising $2,000 to fund the education of four university students through the Gulshan Rotary Club Meritorious Student Scholarship Program.

Not only did they meet this goal, due to an extremely successful silent auction at the 2016 BACHAO Benefit event, the Ambassadors ended up raising over $3500 in one night alone. With the surplus, the Ambassadors then donated $1,500 to Speak Up For the Poor’s Girls Education Program. [Click to find out more.]

3/5/2016 - BACHAO Benefit Event Raffle & Silent Auction

This was the Ambassadors’ first year doing a silent auction in addition to a raffle, and it was a huge success. Popular items such as Adele concert tickets sold for $1,000 a pair, which helped the Ambassadors make over $2,500 from the silent auction alone. In just one night, the Ambassadors raised a total of over $3,500 from the auction and raffle combined.

3/5/2016 - BACHAO Benefit Event Kids Presentation

Every year since the inception of the program, the Ambassadors give a short, engaging presentation to the children at the BACHAO Benefit Event, to educate the younger generations about Bangladesh and how they can help those in need. This year’s presentation was created and given by Athena, Zoya and Shafin

1/16/2016 - Hike-A-Thon

The Ambassadors decide to combine two of their favorite things: charity and hiking. The Ambassadors invited their local community to join them in hiking at the Michael D. Antonovich Trail in San Dimas. While explaining their mission to interested hikers, the Ambassadors also sold water and refreshments to raise funds. They made a profit of almost $200 in one morning.

11/29/2015 - Soup Kitchen Volunteering

As part of their mission to give back to the community, the Ambassadors volunteered at Someone Cares Soup Kitchen in Costa Mesa, preparing meals for over a hundred people.

9/5/2015 - BACHAO Book Drive

Committed to promoting education and literacy in their local community, the Ambassadors organized a book drive within their neighborhoods. They collected over 500 books to donate to the Boys and Girls Club of Fontana.
