Nishwa Shahyak Shangstha (NSS) was founded in 2007 and is a community development non-profit, non-political charity organization aimed at bringing about the overall development of the helpless, disadvantage and the ultra poor. Over the years NSS has implemented programs on health & family planning, nutrition, personal hygiene, sanitation, literacy and functional education and other community development activities. In 2010, BACHAO provided funding for medical camps and medical assistance to approximately 100 patients each at two Upozillas in Sylhet and to 500 inhabitants of several slums.
In 2013, BACHAO provided funding that will be used for the following:
· Two medical camps, one each at Dhalia and Goinka villages under Kulaura Upozilla where at least 250 people, who desperately need medical services, will be treatedand provided necessary medicine
· Provide 27 local made portable latrines to the remoter villages of Gilchara and Ashighar under Fenchuganj Upozilla where the demand for such latrine is acute but the poor cannot afford it. Lach of such hygienic latrine has led to the villages being vulnerable to many diseases
